Migration and health: paths for integration - How the European Union Contributes to Public Health Priorities Including Health of Refugees and other Migrants – 21 September 2017, Brussels

Organized by the Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea) in collaboration with European Commission’s Directorate General for Health and Food Safety, DG SANTE, this cluster meeting aims at providing an insight on key European initiatives to improve the health of vulnerable migrants, integrate them into national healthcare systems, and  provision trainings for health professionals, health mediators and law enforcement officers.

Under the overall EC’s action (2016-2017) to support Member States under particular migratory pressure, IOM MHD RO Brussels is to contribute to the meeting’s panels and discussion together with representatives from National Health Authorities from Greece and Italy, as well as health professionals and cultural mediators currently involved in the implementation of the e-PHR under the Re-Health project and its continuation Re-Health2.

The meeting will also serve as a platform to feed the project results to an audience, which will include accredited press.
